Nextest Systems Corporation is the low-cost leader in the design and manufacturing of automated test equipment for non-volatile memory, micro-controllers, ASIC and System-on-a-chip (SOC) semiconductors. Its products uniquely address the growing demand for increased speeds, reliability, functionality and capacity, while reducing time to market and the cost of test.
Company Heritage
Nextest was founded by test industry veterans Robin Adler and Howard Marshall in 1997 to exploit a market need for a low cost test system. Robin began his ATE career in 1970 as a design engineer at Hewlett-Packard Company. Later he held positions as VP of Marketing and General Manager of the Logic and Memory Division at Megatest Corporation and in 1992 he founded and was President of Sytest Systems Corporation, his third ATE company. The rest of the team was similarly experienced and dedicated to the creation of a new class of cost effective automated test equipment (ATE).
