At Anthem, we first and foremost value the spirit and drive of the entrepreneur. Our overwhelming investment objective is to partner with unique individuals that possess exceptional technical and management ability, as well as the passion and persistence to ensure the success of the company.
Strategy
Anthem Venture Partners provides the necessary resources to enhance the development of emerging technology companies by providing financial investment, operational and management advice, and access to our network of professional relationships. Anthem’s greatest strengths are in our team’s significant operational and entrepreneurial experience, as well as in our dedication and commitment to working closely with portfolio companies throughout every stage of development.
Our typical initial investment is from $1 to $5 million. We prefer to take a lead or co-lead position to leverage our expertise in early-stage value creation, and we frequently co-invest with additional institutions and angels to take advantage of multiple skill sets and relationships to bring the maximum benefit to our companies.
Investment Criteria and Parameters
Anthem looks to invest in organizations that are "technology makers", possess unique and protectable intellectual property, have exceptional management talent, and develop leading products or services with significant market potential. Most importantly, our investment decisions are guided by our belief in the abilities of the entrepreneur, and as such, we seek to partner with uniquely talented management teams.
Investment opportunities are addressed on a case-by-case basis. The review process requires adequate time to develop a relationship with management and to perform relevant market, technical, and financial research.
