Brian Mesic
Brian joined Anthem from McKinsey & Company where he was an Engagement
Manager. At McKinsey, Brian specialized in corporate strategy and
technology and served CEO level clients in healthcare, semiconductors,
media, communications, entertainment, and construction in the U.S.,
South Africa, and Brazil. Brian also helped lead a pioneering study
on the impact of broadband on industry structure and competitive
dynamics. This work was published in the McKinsey Quarterly and
was widely cited in business publications.
Before business school, Brian served as Manager of Technology Integration
at The Prudential. Brian's group pionereed the use of client/server
technology at The Prudential and went on to introduce object-oriented
programming, digital media technologies, and salesforce automation
applications. He also installed one of the company's first web servers
and authored the company's initial web strategy and vision.
At Anthem, Brian serves on the board of directors of Blurb,
Buzznet,
and Pulse.
Prior to its sale to Intersil, Brian was also on the board of directors
of Planet
A.T.E. Brian was an observer on the boards of RFMagic
and Entropic Communications
before their IPO. He also manages the progress of SolarFlare
Communications and Axiom
Microdevices.
Brian supported himself through college by teaching weekend marine
biology classes on a 90 foot research vessel. Brian enjoys SCUBA
diving, world travel, photography, and snowboarding.
Brian holds an MBA degree from the Amos Tuck School of Business
at Dartmouth College, as well as a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in
Economics from Occidental College. Brian’s technology interests
include consumer end-market semiconductors, internet enabled services,
advanced materials, and digital media.
